Hello, Tumblr! We’re proud to present our newest project which was just launched on Kickstarter. We are very excited to get this documentary going, and we will need everyone’s help to get us funded to bring you guys a combination of three cool things: History + WWII + Ghosts = AWESOME.
“What is ‘Ghosts of World War II’?”, you ask? Simple! Three friends will be traveling throughout Europe and go to vital locations which were used during WWII. We will research our locations, talk to the community, workers and more to get their experiences. Places such as Wewelsburg Castle - located in the village of Wewelsburg - was used during the war as a location for the planning of SS swearing in ceremonies, as well as many spring conferences of generals took place there. The castle was also being prepared by Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler as a location to become both the center of the world after victory as well as the Reich SS Leadership school. The castle is currently serving dual purposes with one wing being used as a museum, and another wing as a 204 bed hostel.
As dusk approaches, the team will enter the location to set up several security cameras, as well as audio recording devices. During the hunt, two members of the team will go out into the various rooms to try to contact the spirits by diverse means. Questions will be asked, items will be left out for the spirits to move, and (if possible) an item pertaining to the location will be used. Once the sun rises, the team will tear down their set-up and return to the hotel to begin analyzing the data before going to the next location.
We will be using sites like Tumblr, Twitter, Youtube, Vimeo, et cetera to keep you guys up-to-date when we travel to our locations all through Europe, along with pre and post-production. But here’s the thing, we need to be fully funded on Kickstarter by May 15th in order for this documentary to be filmed! We know times are tough, but if you love WWII, history, and ghost hunting, we’d very much appreciate your support in helping us get this documentary funded and supported!
So please: like, reblog, and spread the word about this project!
